About Me

Hi. My name is John Schroeder. I live in a tiny apartment in the Chicago area. I'm originally from Minneapolis, Minnesota. I love the midwest.

I enjoy web design and development. I wish I had more time to spend on it though.

I also like to take photos every so often, most of them with a variety of film cameras. You can take a look at a few of them (a couple thousand actually) on my photoblog.

About TheCornfields

I bought the domain in 2003 when I had the crazy idea to start a satirical website, a la The Onion, with some friends. The name came from the fact that we lived in the middle of the cornfields in Champaign-Urbana, Illinois. The idea never took off of course, but it taught me web design and what a CMS was. And things have gone on from there.

I'm horrible at writing about myself.
